Washington - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met with both Kay Granger, the Chairwoman of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, and Mario Díaz-Balart, the chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and a member of the House Committee on foreign operation Appropriations. Presidential Spokesperson Alaa Yossef revealed that the President praised the recent positive actions taken by the Congress toward Egypt, expressing his keenness on developing and strengthening strategic partnership between both countries. He added that he aspires for more cooperation between Egypt and the US in different fields during next phase. The president asserted on the importance of improving coordination and consultation between the two countries on regional issues of common interests; to pave the way for dealing with the unprecedented challenges witnessed in the region. The congress' members welcomed Al-Sisi's visit to Washington, appreciating his role in consolidating security and stability in Egypt, and his role to restore regional stability during the current critical period, Alaa added. The Spokesman further added, They praised Egypt's efforts during the recent Years to eliminate terrorism, extremism, and to achieve serious economic improvements. They also expressed their confidence in Egypt's ability to overcome all challenges it face.
