Sisi meets with American Trade Chamber seeking more cooperation

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi expressed his pleasure for his presence in American Trade Chamber, which is considered one of the main centers of American business community. He appreciated the chamber's officials, headed by Tom Donhoio, for warm reception and constructive cooperation between the two parties.
The Egyptian president also praised the representatives of American business community for their keenness to meet with his during his visits to Washington and New York to discuss the opportunities to increase cooperation between Egypt and the U.S on the economic side.
President Sisi underlined his meeting with his U.S counterpart Donald Trump, saying that they have a common vision over the necessity to increase cooperation between the two countries on both political and economic level, stressing that the Egyptian-American cooperation was one of the cornerstones to achieve security and stability in the Middle East for decades.
The Egyptian president added, during his speech before the American Trade Chamber, that the political changes witnessed in the country during the recent years led to economic troubles so he was keen to achieve political and security stability to restore the economic position as soon as possible. He added that Egypt currently works to implement a serious program to achieve economic reform and to attract the foreign investors.
The meeting between the Egyptian president and members of American Trade Chamber comes in the framework of the current visit conducted by President Sisi to Washington in which he met with U.S President Donald Trump on Monday. According to experts, the visit's objectives have not been limited to the political side but extends to the economic side.
Egyptian parliamentarian Rashed Aboul Oyoon said that the visit reflects the keenness of Trump's Administration to improve the relations with Egypt during the coming period after years of deterioration under former President Barak Obama.
He added, in a statement published on Youm7, that the Egyptian president works during the visit to attract more investments during the coming period, saying that the president gives the priority to the increase of foreign investments during the coming period to improve the economic situation.
