Amman - On the sidelines of the preparatory meetings for the Arab Summit in the Dead Sea, Jordan, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on March 27th with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki, to discuss latest developments of the Palestinian question and prospects for the Middle East peace process. The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Counselor Ahmed Abu Zeid, stated that Shoukry emphasized at the beginning of the meeting the close Egyptian-Palestinian relations, stressing the support of Egypt's leadership, government and people for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Foreign Minister also affirmed that the Palestinian question has been always a top priority for Egypt's foreign policy in all its contacts at the various regional and international levels. In this context, Minister Shoukry reviewed the outcome of Egypt's contacts with the new American Administration, as well as his meeting with the US President's Special Representative for International Negotiations, during his recent visit to Washington.
