Cairo - Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam denounced on Friday the terrorist attack that targeted police officers in Arish city, leaving two of them dead and four others wounded. This atrocious terrorist attack will increase coherence between Egyptian people and the army and police forces in order to combat terrorist plots that seek destruction and devastation everywhere in the country, the Mufti said in a statement on Friday. The Islamic religion has nothing to do with these terrorists, Allam said, urging security forces to "beat with an iron fist" those who undermine Egypt's security, Allam noted. In the same regard, the Mufti called on all Egyptians to stand up to terrorism and work on uprooting it.
