Cairo - Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy met on Monday General Petr Pavel, the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, and his accompanying delegation. They discussed the latest developments at the regional and international levels and their impact on security and stability of the region. They also discussed conditions in Libya, as well as extremism and terrorism and stressed the importance of coordination to fight international terrorism. Hegazy asserted the depth of relations binding Egypt and NATO to achieve stability and security in the region. Pavel, for his part, praised Egypt's role in fighting extremism and terrorism and expressed support for Egypt's efforts to achieve stability in the Middle East.
