Egypt agrees with US official to start new phase of cooperation

Cairo - Egypt's International Cooperation Minister 'Sahar Nasr' received Egypt Mission Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Cairo 'Sherry Carlin'.
At the beginning of the meeting, which is considered the first meeting with Ms. Carlin since President Donald Trump took office, the Minister congratulated Ms. Carlin for the election of America' new president, wishing further progress and prosperity for the American people. Within this framework, Ms. Carlin emphasized strong and strategic relations between both countries, while referring to the new US administration's aspirations to enter into a strong partnership with Egypt in various economic and investment fields during the upcoming period.
Carlin stressed the depth of strategic relations between the two countries, noting that the new US administration looks forward to creating a strong partnership with Egypt in the various economic and investment fields during the coming phase.
During the first meeting held between Nasr and Carlin since US President Donald Trump took power, the minister congratulated the official on electing the new president, hoping more progress for the US people.
Nasr pointed out to the keenness of the Egyptian political leadership on starting a new phase of joint economic ties in the developmental and investment programs based on the priorities of the government to fulfil the aspirations and needs of the Egyptian people within the framework of transparency.
