Canadian Parliamentarians support Al-Azhar in peace settlement

Cairo - Dr. Ahmad El Tayb, Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, received a Canadian Parliament delegation, headed by Robert Oliphant, in presence of the Canadian Ambassador in Egypt.
Ealrier, Egypt's President 'Abdel Fattah El Sisi' received on Saturday the Canadian delegation led by Chairman of the Canadian House of Commons' Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security Robert Oliphant. Canadian Ambassador in Cairo Troy Lulashnyk took part in the meeting.
Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar (the most prominent institution for Sunni Muslims) welcomed the Head and members of the Canadian Parliament delegation. He stressed that Islam guaranteed the freedom of faith, that is why Al-Azhar issued the document that endorses such freedom. Additionally, Al-Azhar works on sieging the terroristic thoughts at all the local or regional levels, as well as through adding new curricula that protect our students and youth from the extremist thoughts upon which, terroristic groups rely.
