Britain seeks to increase its investment in Egypt, envoy

President of Suez Canal's economic zone Ahmed Darwish met Monday with the UK's trade envoy to Egypt, Jeffrey Donaldson MP, and UK Export Finance CEO Louis Taylor, Al Bawaba News reported.
The Egyptian official discussed the investment opportunities in the area, briefing them on the current projects existed there.
Darwish stressed that the economic zone enjoys its independence, stressing that the board has the full authority to take the different decisions related to the projects in the area.
On the other hand, Donaldson expressed his government keenness to increase the British investments in Egypt during the coming period and to improve economic relations between the two countries on the economic side.
