Armed forces succeeded Saturday in neutralizing threat of six improvised explosive devices (IEDs) near the village of El Kharrouba in south the city of Sheikh Zuweid, northern Sinai governorate. The armed forces safely detonated all six IEDs from a distance, without causing any casualties or injuries, Al Bawaba News reported. After, the armed forces found the IEDs at the surrounding area, where they were establishing a security ambush for militants, in order to halt their activities, which included targeting army vehicles by planting IEDs, the armed forces detonated the IEDs from a safe distance.
