Editor in chief of Al Bawaba News and MP Abdel Rehim Ali said Sunday during a parliament session he practiced journalism for 25 years and was acquitted by court from 100 lawsuits, Al Bawaba News reported. Ali responded to requests to lift his immunity for publishing an opinion article against a citizen in Al Bawaba newspaper in a statement to parliament explaining that the constitutional court has issued a historical ruling by refusing to hold editor in chief legally responsible for what was published. He pointed out that the writer of the article was not called upon to make his statements concerning the lawsuit.
