Egyptian Chief of Staff Mahmoud Higazy met with his UAE counterpart Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi and his accompanying delegation, military spokesperson Mohamed Samir said in a statement. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed continuous coordination on various fields related to the regional issues, a number of issues of mutual interest including strategic partnership and the joint work between the two countries. During the past year, UAE and Egyptian armed forces participated in several joint military exercises aimed at boosting operational readiness of the different units of the two forces.
