Minister of Tourism, Yehia Rashed announced Sunday that Egypt will receive four flights from China and another four from Japan in October, Al Bawaba News reported. The ministry aims at ensuring the visits of 15 thousand Chinese tourists and another 15 thousand Japanese tourists to Egypt, in an attempt to boost the tourism sector, Rashed told reporters on Sunday. The minister pointed out that German tourists continue to pursue flights to Egypt, however the tourism season is yet to begin in July, when Luxor governorate welcomes the first charter flight from Berlin on July 6. He explained that some German tourists had made reservations at various hotels in the city of Sharm El Sheikh, adding that the ministry aims at sending a convoy to Berlin on July 20, in order to discuss promoting tourism to Egypt.
