Spokesman for ministry of foreign affairs, Ahmed Abu Zeid announced Sunday that minister, Sameh Shoukry discussed the Libyan crisis with Libyan Prime Minister, Fayez Al Sarraj, during a telephone conversation. Abu Zeid revealed that Al Sarraj expressed his appreciation for the continued support provided by Egypt to Libya, so that the Libyan people can restore peace, stability and security to the country, Al Bawaba News reported. Al Sarraj pointed out to the importance of enhancing the historical ties between both countries and of continuing to coordinate on issues of common interest to the two nations. On the other hand, Shourky also discussed the Libyan crisis with his UAE counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, over the phone, Abu Zeid added. Both sides confirmed their similar positions regarding a peaceful and political solution to the crisis, with the aim of restoring peace, stability and security to Libya.
