Belarus' Ambassador to Cairo, Sergei Rachkov announced Thursday that the Belarusian airline "Belavia" resumed Wednesday their flights from Minsk to Sharm el-Sheikh, after one year of absence, Al-Bawaba News reported. In December, the flights were ceased due to the decline in demand by Belarusian tourists. Belarus didn't advise their citizens against traveling to Egypt in the aftermath of last year's Russian plane crash, Rachkov added. He stressed that the recent years have seen a doubling in the number of Belarusian tourists who spent their holidays in the Egyptian tourist resorts, ranking Egypt 2nd place in attracting Belarusian tourists in 2015.
