U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry On April 20, Assistant Secretary and Department Spokesperson John Kirby stated Monday. Kerry will discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues with Egypt's President. The visit of the Secretary of State will include meetings with regional leaders, such as Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in New York, to discuss implementation of the JCPOA, and to follow up on earlier conversations regarding regional issues, including reaching a political resolution to the Syria crisis. On April 21, Secretary Kerry will join President Obama in Riyadh at the Gulf Cooperation Council Summit. On the other hand, Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs Amos J Hochstein will visit Cairo, to meet with several senior government officials and U.S. company representatives to discuss Egypt's power sector.
