The German Economy Minister, Sigmar Gabriel will top a high-profile German businessmen delegation in its scheduled visit to Egypt on April 16, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. The German delegation will include investors and heads of over 130 companies working in several commercial and industrial fields. Egypt's Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Atti signaled to Gabriel's third visit to Cairo which reveals his country's intentions to boost investments in the Egyptian market. It came following the recent legal amendments imposed by the government to ease the investment procedures for foreign investors. "Deputy Director of Siemens will be among the delegation which visits Egypt next week," Abdel Atti added, signaling to Siemens' plans to establish wind fields in Egypt. Secretary of the Egyptian German Business Council Abdel Al-Aziz Al-Mekhlafy stated that the commercial ties between both countries are increasing, pointing out that Egypt is considered Germany's most important economic partner in the Middle East and North Africa.
