Security sources of Cairo airport authorities thwarted Thursday an attempt to smuggle a light bulb with built-in digital cameras, as it was among a personal parcel sent through DHL used for espionage, Al-Bawaba News reported. The source added that upon inspecting a personal parcel sent from Hong Kong on board Emirati airlines, officials suspected a light bulb of which they noticed a number of built-in cameras used for intelligence purposes. Airport authorities confiscated the parcel while legal procedures were taken as Egyptian law banned such types of equipment which would be misused for means of espionage.
