Egyptian authorities have officially asked the Italian side to postpone their bilateral meeting scheduled on Thursday at which a delegation of Egyptian prosecution was due to reveal evidence relating to the murder of the Italian researcher Giulio Regeni. According to the Guardian, Egypt has demanded to delay its official delegation's visit to Rome for a few days until it finishes the collection of all evidence relating to the investigation into the death of Regeni. Regeni's body was found half naked off a desert road on 3 February near Cairo, with cigarette burns and other signs of torture.
