Egyptian Antiquities Minister Khaled Al-Anany inspected on Saturday Aswan's archeological sites of Elphantine Island, southern Egypt, to stand on the recent restoration works conducted there, Al-Bawaba News reported. During his visit, Al-Anany ordered the joint Egyptian-German archeological expedition in the temple of ‘Osir Nesmeti' which dates back to the Roman period, to prepare a report regarding two inscriptions of hexagonal star known as David Star which was recently discovered in the temple. After his visit to Alphantine Island, Al-Anany announced that the report will include photographs of the inscriptions, while the ministry will ask an Islamic archeologist to reveal whether the inscriptions were currently used at this period.
