The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will offer treasury bills of EGP 3.750 billion pounds on Monday to reduce the country's budget deficit, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. The bank will offer 750 million pounds as 18-month treasury bills while 3 billion pounds will be offered as 3-year bills. Egypt's budget deficit is expected to reach 240 billion pounds at the end of fiscal year 2015/2016, according to financial analysts. This deficit has been reduced through Arab and international aids plus treasury bonds issued on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
