The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will offer treasury bills of 14.2 billion pounds to reduce the country's budget deficit, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. On Sunday, CBE will offer 8.25 billion pounds treasury bills including 3.5 billion pounds as 91-day treasury bills while 4.75 billion pounds as 273-day bills. The Bank will also offer on Monday 6 billion pounds treasury bills including a billion pounds 18-months treasury bills, 3 billion pounds 3.25 3-years treasury bills and 1.750 billion pounds as 7-years bills. Egypt's budget deficit is expected to reach 240 billion pounds at the end of fiscal year 2015/2016, according to financial analysts. This deficit has been reduced through Arab and international aids plus treasury bonds issued on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
