The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will offer Sunday, treasury bills of 7.7 billion pounds to reduce the country's budget deficit, Al-Bawaba News reported. A total of 3 billion pounds will be offered as 91-day treasury bills while 4.7 billion pounds as 273-day bills. Egypt's budget deficit is expected to reach 240 billion pounds at the end of fiscal year 2015/2016, according to financial analysts. This deficit has been reduced through Arab and international aids plus treasury bonds issued on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
