Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry met Wednesday US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington to discuss the recent developments witnessed on the regional and international arena, Al Ahram newspaper reported. In a statement issued Thursday, Egypt's Foreign Ministry stressed that the talks included the assessment of a developments witnessed in a number of issues, among which the situation in Libya, Yemen and Syria. The two officials also discussed the ways to push forward the bilateral relations during the coming period. On his hand, U.S Secretary of State John Kerry underlined the importance of Egypt's role in the different regional issues, describing Egypt as a major partner. Shoukry is currently in Washington to attend the Nuclear Security Summit.
