Talks underway with hijacker of EgyptAir plane on release of women and children, Russia's embassy in Cyprus has reported.

Cypriot police has been alerted, and the Ministry of Justice is holding an emergency session over the situation with the hijacked plane. Ambulances have arrived at the airport. No one has left the plane yet. According to several reports, hijackers will allow women and children to leave the plane.
Egypt's flag carrier airline, EgyptAir, confirmed on Tuesday that its A320 passenger plane en route from Alexandria to Cairo has been hijacked.
"Our flight MS181 is officially hijacked. we'll publish an official statement now," the airline said in a statement on its official Twitter account.
