The Egyptian side expects the Russian delegation to carry out the final inspection of security in Egypt's airports next month, a spokesman for the country's Ministry of Civil Aviation said Thursday. Flights between Russia and Egypt were suspended following the October 31 Airbus A321 crash en route from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg as a result of an explosion on board. Islamic State jihadist group, which is outlawed in Russia and many other countries, claimed responsibility for planting a bomb on board the aircraft. "We are expecting the visit of a [Russian] delegation in April," Ehab Raslan told RIA Novosti. He added that the Egyptian side had upgraded the security systems at the facilities.
