A number of Egyptian ministers inspected Saturday the Al-Massala archaeological area over possibilities to erect a main school in Matareya district, eastern Cairo, Al-Bawaba News reported. The visit came prior to the palpation activities expected to be launched in the area by a German excavations mission to inspect whether the area contains any antiquities. If the area has no antiquities, the whole 52 acres will be allocated to the Education Ministry to start the construction works of the new school, Governor of Cairo, Galal Mustafa Saeed said, signaling to the lack of schools in the Matareya district. The Al-Massala archaeological area is now under the authority of the Endowments Ministry. The ministers of antiquities, domestic development, Cairo governor and head of Egyptian endowments authority have participated in the inspection visit.
