Parliament approved Monday the procedures of President of the Republic in the new parliament's internal statute, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported. The parliament approved Article 110, which states that the parliament will hold a session after the announcement of the presidential elections result in which the president will swear in office. It also approved Article 111, which stipulates that in the case of the resignation of the President from office, the parliament will hold an urgent session at the request of the parliament speaker in order to review the letter of resignation submitted by the President to the parliament. The House of Representatives also approved Article 112, which states that president could be accused of violating the constitution or betrayal at the request of the parliament majority, adding that the members should explain the reasons behind their request.
