A local source in Nineveh Province announced on Saturday, that the so-called ISIS executed 12 of its fighters who fled from the battles in Anbar Province south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad). "Today, ISIS executed 12 of its militants in al-Hidr District (80 km south of Mosul), after fleeing from the battlefield in Anbar Province," the source said. The source, who asked anonymity, added, "The execution was carried out by firing squad in a public square in the center of the district." Noteworthy, ISIS took over the city of Mosul in Nineveh province (405 km north of Baghdad) in the tenth of June 2014, while extended its terrorist activities to many other areas of Iraq.
