A local source in Nineveh Province announced on Saturday, that the so-called ISIS executed 12 of its fighters who fled from the battles in Anbar Province south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad). "Today, ISIS executed 12 of its militants in al-Hidr District (80 km south of Mosul), after fleeing from the battlefield in Anbar Province," the source said. The source, who asked anonymity, added, "The execution was carried out by firing squad in a public square in the center of the district."
