The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will pump Sunday about $40 million to banks operating in the domestic market in the periodic dollar bid, Youm7 reported Sunday. CBE sold in Thursday's periodic dollar bid about $39.4 million with a value of 7.7301 pounds to the dollar. CBE had gave the banks operating in the domestic market $ 11.6 billion over the past three months to cover import demand for commodities and raw materials and to pay the dues to foreign investors in the Egyptian capital market.
