Court to issue verdict against Helwan Cell defendants

The Cairo Criminal Court will issue its verdict against 9 defendants in the case publicly known as "Helwan Cell," over joining terrorist group accusations, Youm7 news reported.
In July 2015, prosecution accused the defendants, 8 of them in absentia, of joining illegal group aiming at obstructing the provisions of law and constitution, assaulting the freedoms of citizens, damaging the public peace, committing terrorism acts.
The cell is allegedly affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, which finances the cell to conduct violent attacks.
