Egypt's ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Atti said that Egyptian agricultural exports recorded $2 billion in 2015, Al-Bawaba News reported Thursday. In his press statement to Business Diplomacy magazine, Abdel Atti revealed that citrus and grapes topped the Egyptian exports as well as pomegranates and strawberries while vegetables exports included tomatoes and green beans. "UK, Russia, Italy, Holland, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait are the main importers of the Egyptian agricultural products," Abdel Atti added. Business Diplomacy affirmed that Egypt's agricultural imports represent 14.7% from its national income and are as important as tourism sector as around 8.5 million people are working in the agriculture field. Egypt has been chosen as the guest of honor of "Fruits and Vegetables Fair" which will be held on February 3-5 in the German capital, Berlin. The Egyptian pavilion will include 90 agricultural importing companies.
