Nine factories were stalled due to the fire broke out at Mahalla electricity plant in Gharbiya governorate, Al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. The fire initially caused the suspension of four factories, then other five textile factories were stalled due to power outage. The civil protection forces continued their efforts to put out the fire and cool the plant in preparation for repairing the damage. The prosecution was notified of the incident, and an investigation team was tasked to inspect the plant and determine the cause of the fire. The Mahalla electricity company affiliated to Misr Spinning and Weaving Company caught fire early Saturday, and four fire vehicles moved to the scene as well as civil protection forces to put out the fire.
