Spokesman for Foreign Ministry said Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin various aspects of bilateral relations and developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Palestine and Iranian-Saudi relations. Abu Zeid said that the two ministers held closed-door sessions at the beginning of the talks that dealt with different aspects of bilateral relations and emphasized on the desire of the two sides to enhance them in various fields. He stressed on the high-level visits from both sides during the recent period, on top of which the three meetings between President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi and Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the important visit by President Sisi to Berlin last year.
