Cypriot Agriculture Minister, Nicos Kouyialis confirmed Saturday his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Egypt, Al Bawaba News reported. This came during his meeting with Minister of Supply, Khaled Hanafy in the presence of Cypriot ambassador in Cairo. Both sides discussed the establishment of a joint strategic alliance to increase exchange of trade and possibility of benefiting from the Cyprus experience in the field of fisheries. Kouyialis stressed on his country's desire to take advantage of Egypt's geographical location of an international gateway for Cypriot's products to reach the Gulf and Africa. At the conclusion of the meeting, Kouyialis asked various Cypriot major companies to cooperate with the Egyptian companies in all fields, particularly fisheries.
