Tourism sector owes total debts of EGP 25m to Electricity Ministry

Debts of Hotels and resorts in Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada to the Ministry of Electricity amounting to EGP 15 million, while total amount of tourism sector debt to be paid to the ministry is approximately EGP 25 million, according to a high-profile source in the ministry, Youm7 reported Wednesday.
The source said that the Ministry of Electricity has agreed with hotels and resorts to pay off their accumulated dues on a 24-month schedule, in a bit to ease the burden of the tourism sector which has suffered many declines recently.
