The Tunisian Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday that the coastal guard arrested 16 Egyptian fishermen, over accusation of illegal fishing in the regional waters of the country, al-Mary al-Youm reported. In official statement, the ministry said that the coastal guard seized Monday an Egyptian fishing boat coming from Egyptian coastal city of Port Said and illegally fishing offshore Zarzis city on the Mediterranean Sea. "The boat was seized at Zarzis harbor to take the necessary legal measures," the statement read.
