Egyptian tomato and onion exports reached EGP 1.5bn in eight months, from January to August 2015, according to a report issued by Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Youm7 reported on Wednesday. CAPMAS's monthly report added that tomato and onion exports during the same period last year witnessed decline by EGP 247m and EGP 885m, respectively. The total Egyptian exports reached EGP 13bn in August 2015, compared to EGP 15.3bn during the same period last year, recording an estimated 14.4 percent low, CAPMAS added.
