The number of companies established in Egypt reached 6463 companies with an estimated capital cost of EGP11.4bn in the first half of 2015, according to a report issued Friday by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS). This period witnessed a huge rise in the number of the Egyptian companies compared to the same period in 2014 which recorded only 5106 companies, CAPMAS said, revealing that 1074 companies were established in March marking the largest record this year. The agency added, in its report, that the Egyptian capital of the companies established in 2015 hit EGP8771.1m, with foreign shares of EGP595.4m.
