Egyptian Irrigation Minister, Hossam Moghazy revealed on Thursday that 7 aqueduct bridges would be built to improve irrigation status of 1,5 million acres across five governorates, Al Bawaba News reported. In his press statement, Moghazi said the project was funded through a Japanese loan of EGP 420 million. Regarding beach erosion, Moghazi affirmed that 3 new projects were under researches to establish breakwaters that included Port Said, Rasheed and Alexandria. "Four obstructing dames were conducted to protect the infrastructure and villages against torrential rains," Moghazi added.
