Court adjourns Islam el-Beheiry's appeal to Sep. 28

The Misdemeanor Court decided Monday to postpone the trial of TV host, Islam el-Beheiry to September 28, where he appeals against the 5-year prison sentence issued against him, over charges of insulting the Islamic religion, Al-Bawaba news reported.
The court released Beheiry on bail estimated at EGP 50,000.
Beheiry was sentenced to 5 years in prison late May, upon a lawsuit filed by lawyer Mamdouh Abdel Gawad against Beheiry over accusations of contempt of Islam in his talk show "With Islam," which was suspended from Al-Kahera Wel Nas channel on April 22 upon Al-Azhar's request.
