Court resumes Islam Behery trial for insulting Islam

The Misdemeanor Court in 6th October city resumes Wednesday the trial of the TV host, Islam El Behery over charges of insulting the Islamic religion, Al Bawaba news reported.
A lawsuit was filed by lawyer Mamdouh Abdel Gawad against Behery over accusations of contempt of Islam in his talk show "With Islam," which was suspended from Al Kahera Wel Nas channel on April 22 upon Al Azhar's request.
Behery was sentenced to five years in prison late May, over defamation of religion charges.
