Georgian media delegation of three TV networks, newspapers and magazines, visited the city of Sharm El-Sheikh to meet governor of South Sinai, Al Bawaba News reported Friday. Representatives of Georgian tourism companies and tour operators, as well as Georgia's ambassador to Cairo attended the meeting, which tackled ways of promoting tourism in the city. The delegation pointed out that Sharm El-Sheikh adopts high security measures to assure safety of tourists. They visited Saint Catherine's Monastery and took a cruise in the Red Sea. The ambassador stated that the Georgian TV channels kept releasing positive reports about the city, stressing its safety for tourists, adding that flights carrying tourists from Georgia to Sharm El-Sheikh never stopped. He expressed his gratitude to the South Sinai's governor and the organizers of the trip for their wonderful hospitality.
