South Sinai governor, Khaled Fouda said that the Egyptian authorities would hold a memorial service ceremony on Dec. 9 for victims of the Russian plane crash in Sinai last month, Al Bawaba News reported Friday. Fouda said that the memorial service would be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, adding that another memorial service would be held at Saint Catherine's Monastery in Sinai. He pointed out that the authorities were planning to invite the relatives of the plane's 224 victims to participate in the memorial service.
