In a telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said his country was ready to assist Russia in finding those responsible for the terrorist attack against a Russian Airbus A321 passenger airliner, the Kremlin press service reports.
The crown prince expressed United Arab Emirates' readiness "to offer necessary assistance in search for and in bringing to responsibility those guilty of that awful tragedy," the report said.
The Crown Prince once again presented "condolences over the barbarous terrorist attack" on behalf of his country's leadership and the people.
In a telephone conversation, the two officials "stressed fundamental importance of pooling effort of the international community for efficient action against international terrorism," the Kremlin said.
"Putin spoke in detail about different aspects of Russian activity aimed at unblocking the Syrian crisis, including on concrete results of the operation of the Russian Aerospace Troops against Islamic State and other radical groups," it said.
The sides agreed "to maintain close contacts through respective departments and coordinate moves towards implementation of the results of the Vienna sessions of the Syrian Support Group," it added.
Putin and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also exchanged opinions on ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries in different sectors in line with the agreements reached at bilateral talks in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi on October 11.
Kogalymavia Flight 9268 came down about half-an-hour after leaving the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh for the Russian city of St. Petersburg. The disaster site is 100 kilometers south of the administrative center of North Sinai Governorate, the city of Al-Arish. All 224 aboard the plane perished.
