He added, "We can definitely say this was a terrorist act," however Egypt has no evidence confirming a terrorist attack, according to Sputnik news Earlier Tuesday, Reuters has claimed that Egyptian authorities have detained two employees of Sharm E-Sheikh airport in connection with the Russian plane crash, the allegations were fully dismissed by Egyptian interior ministry only few minutes after the release of the report. Reuters claimed that "Seventeen people are being held, two of them are suspected of helping whoever planted the bomb on the plane at Sharm El-Sheikh airport." "The news is totally false," said the Media Centre representative of Egypt's Interior Ministry. The Russian Airbus A321 carrying 224 people on board had crashed while en route from the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg in Russia, leaving no survivors. Various possible causes of the tragedy have been set out by aviation experts, ranging from a terrorist act to a technical glitch.
