Tourists in Sharm El Sheikh expressed their pleasure to spend their vacation at the Red Sea resort, denying all the threats reported by the western media, following the crash of a Russian jet over Sinai last week. In a photographed report, Al Bawaba news interviewed the foreign tourists in Sharm El Sheikh, who said they felt safe in the Egyptian Peninsula. Al Bawaba news reported 41 flights landed in Sharm El Sheikh Airport within the past 24 hours, amid travel warnings issued by several countries to their nationals, such as Russia, UK and New Zealand, against going to Egypt. "That's is an accident that could happen in any country, we enjoy our time here," a Russian tourist told Al Bawaba news, asserting that she feels safe in Sharm El Sheikh. Following Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to suspend all flights to Egypt, upon intelligence advice, Russian tourism firms expressed their resentment over the decision, due to the huge loss that will impact their investments. Russian tourism firms make most of their profits in winter season from travel packages to Egypt, especially Sharm El Sheikh Resort. A total of 224 Russian citizens died in a jet crash on October 31. Egyptian authorities alongside Russian experts are investigating the wrecks of the plane, raising the question whether the plane was flawed or it was a terrorist operation.
