Head of Port security Authority, Wael Abd el-Razek said in a press conference on Saturday the security measures followed in Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport cope with all international standards, Al-Bawaba News reported. Abdel Razek, also First Assistant of the Minister of Interior, stated that the Sharm el-Sheikh airport as well as all the Egyptian airports operates according to the "ICAO" organization strict standards, responsible for evaluating performance of international airports worldwide, which its licenses granted and renewed every two years. "There are advanced checkpoints in front of the airport's main gates to secure and protect them and to screen individuals and cars entering the airport, an action that is not manifested in any airport worldwide," he said. All passengers go through careful inspections before they get on board, including various stages, beginning from clothing to all personal belongings, he added. He also indicaetd strict procedures are taken to inspect luggage by isolating the suspected bags and using the "CTV X" technique, Spectroscopy and atomic weight and 3D capturing. Sharm El Sheikh International Airport is one of the globally classified airports, highly praised by specialized committees that visited the airport.
