Conference to drop contempt of religion law at Press Syndicate

A conference calling to drop the contempt of religion law will kick off Saturday evening at the Press Syndicate under the slogan "No to Inquisitions," where a petition will be submitted to the Egyptian president on behalf of the Egyptian nation, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday.
The conference will witness the presence of a number of important figures along with major actors and actresses, all of them seeking to drop Article 98 concerning the "defamation of religion" from the Penal Code.
