Egypt will receive two loans worth $1.5 bn from the World Bank and the African Development Bank (AFDB), said the Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported Monday. The minister announced that the loan will be divided to $ 1bn from the World Bank, and $ 500mn from AFDB by the end of the year, pointing out that the two banks will review the deal with their board of directors in order to get the approval to the loans. The loans will be paid through 35 years with 1.86 percent interest, to boost the government's reform program. Nasr will visit Washington and several European capitals to review the reform program of the Egyptian Government to face the economic challenge.
