Danger of EU disintegration for migration crisis alerted
Published in Albawaba on 30 - 10 - 2015

The European Union (EU) faces the risk of disintegration before its lack of common response to the common migration crisis, alerted today the head of the diplomacy of the bloc, Federica Mogherini.
If the European states limit themselves to give national responses to a phenomenon of all Europe and lack appropriate tools, the migration crisis will worsen into a chain reaction of public opinions and national governments, considered Mogherini.
The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and International Security declared to the daily Il Sole 24 Ore that without those tools we risk a disintegration of the community entity. Austria admitted the eve of the possibility to construct a fence in the border with Slovenia, despite belonging both to the Schengen space that establishes free access to any of its members.
However, the Austrian Federal chancellor, socialdemocrat Werner Faymann, considered today there is no place for frontiers in Europe, without giving further details.
Slovenia, with two million inhabitants, reported the arrival of 100 thousand refugees since the 17th, when Hungary sealed its border with Croatia, through where 240 thousand foreigners passed since last September 15.
Only yesterday arrived to Slovenia almost 10 thousand undocumented, most of them, Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans, who flee from conflicts in their own countries, created mostly, from actions of Western powers.
The chaos in the waiting of thousands of foreigners in the borders of Croatia, Slovenia and Austria, the bottlenecks increased today, above all in the crossing of the last two countries.
Meanwhile, Greeki authorities informed on the search of 40 alleged disappearances, after the wreckage of a boat north of the island of Lesbos with 300 persons aboard, of which 242 were rescued.
Over the last hours, 11 persons died when crossing the Aegean Sea from Turkey, eight of them children while the number of immigrants on each ship increase, when winter is near.
According to the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Refugees, 502 thousand 500 persons arrived in Greece this year.
